Michael grew up in North Carolina, USA, and first became interested in history after listening to classical music and studying the lives of composers. He later moved to Utah and earned a bachelor in history, and subsequently earned a master's in history at the University of Cambridge. His teaching subjects include History, English, and Philosophy, and his academic work focused on America, Westernization, and religion. As a university research assistant Michael helped to create and teach 101 university coursework, and also acted as a copyeditor and proofreader for the publication of two academic texts. In his free time, Michael likes to read (favorite genres are nonfiction and manga), play the piano, and go jogging.

Jonathan graduated from Hull University in 2000 with a 2:1 BA (hons) degree in Business Management and has an extensive list of students who went on to improve their grades in English Literature and Language A Levels and GCSEs after their classes with him. He has many year's experience with A level History and Geography with all exam boards taught. Jonathan is SEN qualified and makes sure each student is comfortable in class; he has a great ability to build a rapport with all students. After 17 years of teaching, he still has the passion required to help students be the best they can. Jonathan's classes are productive, professional and useful and, also, enjoyable.
